Community Christmas

 

If you have been following us since last year you will know that we opened Christmas day and boxing day for people that would otherwise have been alone and would like some company over the festive period.

 

This year we have decided that we want to do something again and are looking for our community's support to make this come to life.

Firstly we are going to open on Christmas Day again between 9-12pm. 

We want to provide a brunch for people, a small gift and also we hoping to be able to put on some transport for those that don't drive.

Then new for this year we want to provide some care packages/gifts for those that are alone over Christmas and don't want to or are unable to come out that we can distribute.

The aim is it will all fit into a small parcel size box, with something edible, something along the toiletry line, something to do(creative) and a small gift.

We are in contact with some local charity's and other community groups to put people forward and are hoping we can achieve 100.

To achieve all of this we are going to be asking for your support.

Or if people can pick any items up and drop them off that would be amazing.

If you know of any local grazing board companies or taxi firms that would be able to help please do share our information. 

Hopefully we can put something amazing together for people.

We will be putting some dates together for mid to late November for wrapping and packing the sets ready for me to drop off in December. I will pop this up on the website nearer the time if we have any volunteers that would like to help. There will be refreshments provided.

And lastly if you are going to be on your own this Christmas and would like to put your name down to attend you can reach out and pop me a message with your details, or booking a space will become available via the website in November. There is no requirements to attend everyone is welcome.
